At least 100 plants were found, growing over 1 meter high. The building was divided among several rooms, where equipment dealing with the stages from drying to shipment were said to be arranged.

大麻草を栽培していたとして、藤沢北署は28日、大麻取締法違反の疑いで、座間市新田宿の倉庫を家宅捜索した。倉庫内には少なくとも１００株を超える大麻草が植えられており、同署は同法違反（栽培）の疑いで、50歳代の男を現行犯逮捕。大規模な「大麻工場」だったとみて調べている。

同署や捜査関係者によると、倉庫は平屋建てで広さは３００平方メートルほど。内部は配管などに使う直径十数センチの塩化ビニール管が張り巡らしてあり、管の中に水を流して大麻草を育てていたとみられるという。少なくとも１００株以上が確認されており、高さ１メートル以上に育ったものもあった。倉庫内は複数の部屋に仕切られ、乾燥から出荷までが可能な設備が整っていたという。

周辺は住宅地で、シャッターや窓には目張りがしてあった。
